Woodland Fairy Jewelry

I've been crafting today! So, this ensemble ; a pair of earrings and a necklace ; is called "Woodland Fairy". I made this enchanted jewelry to go with my new dress! How do you like it?

Lush Haul

Well, hello there! I am back again with yet another Haul!

So, about a year ago I got myself the "Tiny Hands" Solid Hand Cream, that "...help(s) dry, cracked, overworked hands." (www.lush.co.uk).
As you can see, I have been using it regularily ever since.

I do have very, very dry skin. And as if that wasn't enough, my job also requires me to wear rubber gloves on a daily basis and desinfect my hands quite a lot... So this for sure doesn't help!

I've tried a lot of hand creams before this one and sure, they did make my hands  feel a lot better. However, none of them ever really made my hands feel nice, smooth and moisturized for longer then just a couple of minutes/hours.

So you can imagine how surprised and happy I was when this one did! Plus, it smells really really good!

Now, this is experience is obviously one of the main reasons why I've wanted to try more of their products. The other one is, that I do appreciate that their products are "cruelty free" (not tested on animals) and a lot of them are vegan too. Also, their packaging is environment friendly!
So basically, Lush allows you to pamper yourself AND save the planet at the same time ;). No, seriously guys, I think this concept is great and our planet really would need some more companies that care! So, this kind of policy should be encouraged - don't you think so?

Ok, after this initial "blabla" let's move on to some of the good stuff. Here's what I got:

Ok, so as you might have noticed I LOVE lipsticks.
Let's start out with the liquid lipstick!
It's vegan!!
I got it in the color "bubbly" - a beautiful orangy pink! It's a bit iridescent and it''s got a really nice texture. Also, most importantly, it stays on your lips all day long and is "kiss-proof".
Technically, this is perfect!

However, I am still sooo disappointed with this product :( . As it is a mostly natural product (it includes only 4 safe synthetic ingredients - in small quantities) - the main ingredients are oil and wax. Now this is great! - But unfortunately it doesn't smell so great :(
The lipstick really does smell like grease and since this is a product that you put directly underneath your nose, the scent is very, very hard to ignore.

Why didn't you put any natural perfume in there LUSH, whyyyy ???

It's really a shame because the lipstick itself is great! I would absolutely recommend it for anyone who isn't very sensible with smells.
I, for my part, don't think that I will be able to use it a lot. I might experiment with essential oils myself, though. Maybe I can safe this lipstick?

 Ok, let's move on to the "Bubblebar". This one is called "A french kiss". (It's vegan)

I am very much looking forward to trying this one. Just like the LUSH-description claims - it does smell like lavender, rosemary and thyme - mmmhhhhhh... <3

  

The "luxury bath melt" that I got is called "You've been mangoed". (It's vegan too)

In my opinion it doesn't smell that much like mango, but has more of a refreshing citrus-fruit-scent to it. Delicious!

The "Sexy Peel" Soap (yay, vegan too!!) smells sooo good - like the Vitamin C gums that we used to eat when we were kids! I haven't tried this one yet either.

But I most certainly will tomorrow morning!

  

Say hello to this delicious, promising little "WiccyMagic Muscles" massage bar. (wow, vegan again)

I use it to moisurize my arms and legs after working out and i absolutely ADORE it. It smells delicious, yet the scent is very intense. If you like the smell of peppermint and cinammon - go for it! It works magic - I promise!

 

 I've been dieing to dye ( yeah I know.... hahah I'm sooo funny....not ;) :P ) my hair with henna for quite a while. I've heard so many good things about it! Soooo.... I also got some henna in "marron" (vegan) and the ultrabalm (also vegan).

The henna I will obviously use to dye the hair and the ultrabalm is what you put on your skin/scalp so it won't get colored. Now I just have to wait for next weekend - should I blog about this?

Finally: here are the samples they sent me:

A piece of the (vegan) "Seanik" solid shampoo bar. Smells very refreshing. Perfect for the summer months!

 

As well as the (vegan) solid conditioner "Jungle".  This one also smells good - refreshing. Yet I cannot identify what exactly it smells like. Hmmm....maybe after I tried it I will be able to tell you more!

Petits Bourjois

Recently, I've been absolutely OBSESSED with "Petits Bourjois" !!

About a week ago, I ordered some of their newer and also some of their older products online - and today the package finally arrived! I am very excited about trying all of these goodies, but let me swatch them for you first:
Let's start out with the "Color Boosts". I have to admit that I got all of the avaiable colors - and now that I've tried them on, I'm really glad I did!

 

Let's start out with "Fuschia Libre". It's a very bright and strong pink-ish color.

"Orange Punch" is a beautiful and fun tangerine color.

"Peach on the beach" is my favorite of the Color Boosts. It's a discrete salmon color. However, unfortunately, the camera doesn't pick it up very well and it always looks orangy on the pictures... sorry 'bout that!

And finally: "Red sunrise": A very pigmented, classic red tone. Suprisingly this one has somewhat of an almost matt finish to it!

The next thing I picked up are three of their "Effet Smokey" eyeliners. I chose the colors "New wave blue", "Sparkling Navy" and "Sparkling granite".
So what I like about these liners, is that they already come with a smudge brush: You got the pencil on one end and then, on the other end, they attached a little brush. This is very convenient for "on the go" situations.

The "new wave blue" is a greyish, matt blue - simple, decent and chique.

The "sparkling granite" is a deep black with silver sparkles - the camera doesn't pick up the sparkles very well, though - sorry again!

The "sparkling navy" is a grey liner with lilac sparkles - or rather accents. Again, the camera doesn't pick that up very well either :(. Very intriguing and mysterious nighttime color, though!

And to end this wonderful day I finally got myself a little sweet-treat on the way home:

Mango Lassi and White Vanilla -- yum!

For tonight I decided to go with the Mango Lassi. Right now I am patiently waiting for the milk to heat up, but I couldn't help myself from taking a little bite already ;) It's delicious!

Lipstick Mania

So, I went shopping today and thought that I would share! 

First thing I got was the L'Oreal Paris "Caresse" lipstick in (301) "Dating Coral".

.....this is a very subtile, shimmery coral/rosy color. 

I just love how it feels so creamy and soft when you put it on! 

It's not as glossy and pigmented as I expected it to be, however it is very hydrating and feels almost like a light lipbalm.

This should be perfect for a simple and decent everyday look!

 

I also got one of the "Sweet Kiss Shine"-lipsticks in (74) "Juicy tangerine" by "Petits Bourjois".
It is a very bold pink-orangy color that will probably be perfect for a flashy, colorful summer-outfit! The finish is very glossy.

At the Mac Counter I got a very mat nude color - it's a "cremesheen" lipstick in "Modesty". It's described as a "muted neutral pink" -- Personally, I would rather describe it as a "vintage rose" color.
I really love the texture and how hydrating it is, even though it has kind of a mat finish to it! This is definately going to be one of my new fav's!

 

And last but not least - a "Make up forever" lipstick in "Rouge Artist Natural".
The main reason why I bought it, is that it is soooo moisturizing (my lips tend to dry out really easily).
The finish is very very glossy and also very sparkely. This is most definitely the perfect lipstick for an enchanting evening look.
